Product Description
Chapter 7 of the second section of 1984 compares Winston's and Julia's capacity for love.
Can they love in a society such as Oceania in 1984?

This is an activity that I distribute to students when we reach chapter 7 of section 2 in the novel, 1984.

This resource is also an excellent discussion guide.

The tasks prompt them to

---analyze quotes,
---characterize Winston and Julia
---draw conclusions about the dystopian society, particularly the citizens' comprehension of love.

There are 23 questions.

There are 8 excerpts or quotes from the text.

I've included two basic graphics.

Clear font and space for student responses.

I created this worksheet using Word 2007, so it is editable.
