PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Created using Word 2007. This activity requires students to read Section 2 Chapter 1 of 1984 and complete questions. There are three pages with 20 questions. Many of the questions have questions within the questions. Some questions provide text for analysis. Most questions require higher-level thinking, for example, What could “I love you” mean in Oceania in 1984?
Can the dark-haired girl love Winston?
Is the dark-haired girl allowed to love Winston or is that a thoughtcrime?
Do you think that Winston can love the dark-haired girl?
How might Winston’s and the dark-haired girl’s “I love you”s mean something different?
I use clear font and provide space for student responses.
There are three relevant graphics.
Thank you for your consideration. Have a look at my other 1984 activities---most popular are questions and graphic organizers about Goldstein's book and a great PowerPoint for Goldstein's book.
