This unit plan for Orwell's 1984 is comprehensive, the following products are included:
-Introduction gives background on the author, vocabulary terms and ends with a totalitarian/thematic activity.

-32 slide PowerPoint of 22 of the most common propaganda and faulty logic types. I use this presentation over two separate one hour class periods. The 22 types are divided into two sections with a practice review exercise for each section. At end of the PowerPoint, I've included a homework assignment that tasks the students to find examples of these propaganda types in modern news reports. I use this propaganda presentation alongside my 1984 unit and it works doubleplusgood.
