Students will become familiarized with 80 difficult vocabulary terms presented in "1984" by George Orwell (1999). This product was designed to allow students the opportunity to work with the teacher in understanding unfamiliar vocabulary and then apply this knowledge independently. The teacher presents the vocabulary PowerPoint as students listen to and write the definitions for each term on their graphic organizers. Students then write compound sentences for each vocabulary term as a homework assignment to demonstrate their understanding.
Included in this product:
- Vocabulary PowerPoint presentation containing each vocabulary term as well as their definitions and visual representations in the same order as given to students on their graphic organizers (Total of 80 vocabulary terms)
- 7 vocabulary graphic organizers (split into manageable chunks of vocabulary per organizer)
- 7 corresponding vocabulary definition keys (I like to upload these files onto Google Classroom after class for any absent students)
