This is a comparing numbers scoot (or task cards) that help students review mentally adding and subtracting 10 and 1. Students get a recording sheet and visit different cards placed around the room. They write their answers on the recording sheet.

This scoot is aligned to common core standard 1.NBT.B.3, comparing two-digit numbers based on meaning of the tens and ones digits, using the symbols < > =.

There are two sets of 24 task cards, for a total of 48 task cards.

Set 1-24 cards with simple double-digit number comparisons, students write the symbol in the middle.

Set 2-24 cards is more of a challenge. It builds upon students' knowledge of place value, while comparing numbers (as seen in preview).

See the preview for a closer look!
