Emmy and Winston continue to keep Mrs. Doodles on her toes as they want to constantly run outside for some regular mischief. When Mrs. Doodles has a doggie door put in, life would never be the same for all three of them!

As far as living with these two silly puppies, I have realized that Emmy is turning into a sassy teenager and only follows directions when she wants. Winston, on the other hand, is always a bundle of joy and happy to do anything anyone asks. If he has a stuffed animal nearby, he is quite content. There are future funny stories coming all about his love of chewing and eating his toys.

The story is a snippet in the lives of Emmy, Winston, and me, Mrs. Doodles. They are both miniature "Double Doodles" which means they are crosses between a Labradoodle and a Goldendoodle. This is also how I got my (aka) name! While enjoying the silly antics of my babies and seeing pictures as they grow, the goal for each set is to support first through fifth grade students' learning.

"Best Buddies" is the TENTH SET of a series. Each set includes a 2-3-page story about Emmy and Winston with learning activities that are intended to be used to enhance foundational skills at the teacher's discretion depending on his/her students' abilities. As you will see, first graders may need teacher modeling with whole group work, while fifth graders will be able to do the pages independently. No matter if your students do the activities alone, with partners, in small groups, or as a whole group, they will surely appreciate the fun and learning that transpires! Seeing pictures of Emmy and Winston growing with each set will charm your students as they both look like innocent little puppies. Hmmm…...you will soon learn the truth!
