The images snap shot shows a brief outline for subs, a focus artist page which I introduce, a project outline page and a sketchbook page.
The Sub Outline gives a brief overview of what is to happen at each center. At each table is already a notebook/example with what the students are suppose to do. If you don't have time to make a notebook, then just print off the steps sheet so the students can read. Place the steps into the 1st grade bucket/box lid with each table.
The Sub Notebook for the Centers is here: https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Art-Center-Substitute-Notebook-for-K-5-Art-Table-Centers-2388425
I'm hoping the format stays correct in word because this will allow you to edit and enter your own steps and examples if you want to change the projects. All information was placed inside a table but the lines are hidden. You can easily select show boarders to make it easier to insert pictures and choose wrap text 'in front of text' and then move your image. I will update this file with my own photos after I complete these projects in my classroom. I will notify you with any updated versions. Each grade level set is a different project with the same medium.
Art Week 1: I plan on having a practice lesson, 'lesson A' with the whole class to make sure they understand the layout.
Art Week 2: Then I will take 1 class to introduce the first 3 lessons and have students sketch in their sketchbook and watch demos. These lessons will take 6 classes - rotating every second art class
Art Week 9: Then I will take 1 class to introduce the next 3 lessons 4, 5, 6. I will have students sketch in their sketchbook and watch demos. These lessons will take 6 weeks:
Art Week 10: Introduce lessons 4, 5, 6 - and have students sketch out ideas. From here you can either choose to complete the lessons as a whole group or use them has table centers and rotate every 2 classes.
Art week 19 to end of year
I plan on taking 2 classes to introducing the last 6 lesson, so 1st grade will have 6 different tables doing 6 different lessons using the same medium as other grade levels.
