Entry/exit slips are great ways to check for understanding after your lessons. I usually like to give these to my students before I teach the standard, to get an idea of where they are and any misconceptions they might already have. Then, after teaching, I will give these same problems to them again to see who improved and who still needs more help. At the end of each sheet, there is a self reflection question for the students to answer. The choices are : This problem was easy. This problem was a little hard. This problem was really hard. This lets us know how comfortable they feel with the skill.
