This packet contains 39 quarterly math assessments for first grade along with 3 bonus pre-assessments that you may choose to administer at the beginning of the school year.
While there are 21 individual math standards, some skills were linked together in the assessments. Refer to the Assessment Skills page in the packet preview to see the 11 linked skills addressed in these assessments.
The Common Core State Standards outline the content that should be mastered by students at the end of the school year. Therefore, many of the assessments become increasingly more difficult throughout the year. Assessment criteria pages have been included for Operations and Algebraic Expressions, Numbers and Operations in Base Ten, Measurement and Data, and Geometry in order to see the progression of difficulty throughout the school year.
Additionally, some standards are not first assessed until 2nd or 3rd quarter. You will observe that there are very few new tasks on the 4th quarter assessments. When assessing mastery of a concept at the end of the year, there is no time remaining to work with students on the concept. Therefore, I purposely designed the assessments to check student progress with a vast majority of the standards by the end of the 3rd quarter.
