Practice first grade count on to add and count back to subtract with these math centers! They align with 1st grade Common Core standard 1.OA.5 for students to work on counting up or counting back on a number line or using pictures. They consist of board games, puzzles, and more! They are designed for you to use in your math centers and rotations.

Included are 4 different math stations for 1st grade count on or count back:

  1. Rainy Day Count On: Students will choose a card and count on using the pictures.
  2. Count Back Butterflies: Students will choose a card and count back using the pictures.
  3. Count On & Back Board Games: Students will play a board game (four versions included) where they will count up or back using a number line.
  4. Count On & Back Puzzles: Students will use these puzzles to solve problems by counting up or counting back.
