Here is the first grade dolch sight word program that I have used in my own classroom with unbelievable success!! I created a five week program that is consistent and easy to progress monitor. This supports the common core state standards and a great way to communicate with parents of struggling students.
I use this program as part of my guided reading time with my struggling students that do not meet the goal of 36/40 first grade dolch sight words. If I have students that are not 40/40, but fall between 36-39/40 then I will send home the speed read sheets each week for extra practice, but they will not be in the full program.
I have the dolch primer sight word program available in my tpt store if you like this product and will soon have the beginning pre-primer sight word program posted once it is finished. I have modified and added more activities to keep the program fresh and fun for students.
This program is a five week program that focuses on 10 sight words per week and then a review week. I also included a sample weekly schedule that you can choose to follow or modify to suit your own student needs. I also included a progress monitoring sheet as well as a full sight word checklist to help you pre and post test your students.
Included in the 125 pages are:
-weekly sight words for students to practice at school and at home.
-weekly speed read sheets that students practice at home to work on reading each of the 10 weekly sight words.
-weekly sight word booklets that work on spelling, identifying, and writing a sentence using each word.
-weekly roll, say, keep games
-weekly word searches to further practice identifying each sight word.
