This package includes 1st grade ELA and math benchmark assessments for the entire year. I administer assessment 1 in September, assessment 2 in December, assessment 3 in March, and assessment 4 in June, but they can be administered however works best for your use.
I am the special education coordinator and RTI coordinator at my school, and I developed these benchmarks for my entire school, so each teacher administers these assessments 4 times per year for Response to Intervention (RTI) purposes. Students who score below 65% may be referred to tier 2 of RTI. In administering the benchmarks to each student, the teacher is also able to identify skills that the whole class is struggling with, and can use the information to review or reteach that skill to the class.
