This lesson covers the following 2-dimensional figures: oval, circles,ellipses, quadrilaterals, squares, trapezoids, parallelograms, triangles, and rhombuses. There are three pages on each shape, as well as combined activities on defining and non-defining attributes of 2-dimensional shapes.
This lesson also features an inference game where students have to read the clues to guess which 2-dimensional shape is in the bag. They only get 3 guesses before the teacher wins!
This lesson would be well suited to higher-level kindergartners as well as lower level second grade students.
