This 1st Grade Homework Bundle with QR codes has 184 bracelets with QR codes to make fun first grade homework that students are EXCITED to do every day! Empower parents to help students and give students meaningful extra practice for home, all with NO GRADING and very little prep on your part. Teachers are busy! :) These QR code homework bracelets are loved by students, parents, and teachers.
How do they work?
After beginning a new topic, place the related QR code bracelet on each student (or their backpack) to take home. Each bracelet contains QR codes that link to 1-2 educational videos about the topic, and the Science, Social Studies, & Math bracelets also link to simple family practice activities (known as the SECRET GAMES) for the child to play with their family to reinforce the new concept. The educational family activities take about 10 minutes (or as long as the family wants to play!), and to ensure all families can play, the activities require no materials (or only very common items found around the home). The parent simply needs a Smart device (iPhone, Android, tablet, iPad) with a FREE QR code scanner app, or webcam with the ability to scan QR codes.

(This video explains my Kindergarten Bracelets with QR codes, but the format is the same for both levels!)
I recently created this 1st Grade Bundle based on the high demand for the
. Click to check out its ratings to see what all the fuss is about! *For easy remediation, and also because many Kindergarten and 1st grade topics overlap, I'm including ALL of my Kindergarten bracelets in this bundle (164 bracelets)! This is why you may notice "Kindergarten" in the titles of some of the products. :) The additional 20 Science and Social Studies bracelets are specifically geared toward 1st Grade topics, but please check the list of included topics to be sure this fits your needs perfectly!
Teachers love these bracelets because they allow for easy differentiation (give each student bracelets based on their remediation and extension needs), students spend extra time at home working on concepts (because there is never enough time at school), and parents are kept in the know without daily/weekly newsletters. Parents love these cool bracelets because they know exactly what their child is learning and the simple games & videos empower them to support their child. Students love the bracelets because they get to show off their new learning at home, and the videos are FUN!
Now, when the parent asks, “What did you learn at school today?” the child can proudly share and practice their new learning! The “Secret Game” is designed to get students excited to share the bracelet with their families and is a simple and meaningful way for the family to reinforce what was learned at school that day. By seeing the content in various contexts, and giving parents meaningful strategies to reinforce concepts taught at school, students better retain their new learning!
Parent directions print on the back of the bracelets in English and/or Spanish.
The videos and "Secret Games" linked by QR codes are in English.

ABOUT Sight Word Bracelet
The 29 Sight Word bracelets contain a video to practice each sight word at home, and a sentence which uses each sight word in content. The 15 Dolch Sight Word Bracelets link to multiple Dolch sight word videos for home practice. The 28 Fry Sight Word Bracelets link to multiple Fry sight word videos for home practice. The range of levels makes for EASY differentiation; simply give each child the band that fits the Fry or Dolch list they are currently working on and mark the words that need extra attention. The 62 Letters & Sounds bracelets use QR codes to link to videos that help students master the letters and sounds of the ABCs.
*This homework bundle grew to its promised 184 bracelets
, but I will continue to add surprises along the way as a thank you for supporting my shop.
*Please note, this is an expanded version of my Kindergarten bundle, and simply includes 20 additional 1st grade topics (along with all of the Kindergarten set). Please check the topics to see if this set matches your standards and needs. I want it to be just right for you!
Most of the bands include additional visual support for the students, such as labeled diagrams of frog & butterfly lifecycles, labeled 3D shapes, examples of CVC words, labeled examples of colors, a list of numbers used when counting by 10s, illustrated sight words, etc.
Many of these "We're Learning About" Bracelets link to educational YouTube videos using QR codes. If you plan to use these bracelets at school (rather than students' homes), please download the preview to test that the videos open on your school device (and on school WiFi) before purchasing. This is because some districts block YouTube, but it won't be an issue if parents use their own devices to access the videos at home. I value your time!***
To easily download a FREE QR Code Reader
from the App Store (for iPhones & iPads) or Google Play (for Android phones and tablets), just search the phrase, “QR Code Reader” and choose the QR scanner you’d like. I personally use “QR Code Reader” on my Android and “QR Reader” on my iPad & iPhone. Both apps work well for me, but any free QR scanner will work!
