This set includes a game board that you can print and use for students to practice the Reading Street Phonics/Spelling words for the week.

I included word cards for all 6 weeks in Unit 1. They are color coded so that you can keep them organized. I have included full page labels (ex: Unit 1 Week 1 Spelling Words) so that you can glue it outside of a manila folder, glue the game inside and attach the words to the back inside of a Ziploc bag or envelope. I also included small labels to glue or staple on the bag/envelope in case you just want to throw it in a tub at center time or inside the manila folder.

The set-up is easy and my students love to play this game! Once you teach students how to play they can do so independently during the Daily 5/other reading centers/stations. I also like to keep it handy in case I need something to do at my small group table, and it is a great review for Friday's test.

How To Play: They place a game piece on Start. Then they take turns choosing a card and reading it aloud. If they read it correctly they roll a die and move that many spaces on the game board. If they do not read it correctly they stay where they are. The first one to finish wins! You can also differentiate by having higher leveled students spell the words aloud without looking at the card, writing the word on a whiteboard or using it in a sentence.
