This file contains pages of Thanksgiving themed math, data day fun, and language arts activities with directions, materials needed, printable worksheets/activities, and an answer key.
This file began as a Thanksgiving themed Data Day unit. I always have enjoyed breaking up the routine of the regular schoolwork with a data day centered on a festive theme. Every now and then it is good to set the regular routine of things aside and treat the students to something new and different. I have found that a data day unit is a great tool to revisit those important skills you want students to know in a fun and fresh way. At the beginning of this unit are 8-pages of Thanksgiving Graphing/Data Day activities and worksheets to supplement instruction during Thanksgiving time. Students will choose their favorite Thanksgiving Foods, make a class graph with the data and complete data centered worksheets. You can teach this over 1 -2 days in math class. Students will practice tally marks, graphing, data interpretation, and probability.
The rest of this file contains additional math and language arts worksheets, activities, and games centered on the Thanksgiving Feast theme. You can implement these in your classroom at any time. These focus on core skills such as patterns, number sentences, numeracy, reading, writing, poetry, spelling, vocabulary, number stories, tallies, counting, and arithmetic.
The following is a list of all the components of this package: 8 pages of Thanksgiving Graphing Fun Day Stuff, Number Story Worksheets, My Thankful Addition Game, My Thankful Subtraction Game, A Feast of Adding Worksheet, A Feast of Patterns Worksheet, Tally Match Worksheet, Break the Code Worksheet, Can You Find the Feast?
