Description
Practice adding 2-digit numbers within 100 with these math centers! They align with 1st grade Common Core standard 1.NBT.4 for students to adding two-digit numbers to a one-digit number, a multiple of ten, or another 2-digit number. They consist of addition with and without regrouping games and activities! They are designed for you to use in your math centers and rotations.
Included are 4 different math stations for 1st grade two-digit addition:
- Spinner Games: Students will spin to create addition problems with these spinners (three versions included). They will try to get four in a row with their answers.
- Adding Animals Math Puzzles: Students will add two-digit numbers to a multiple of ten, to a one-digit number, or to a two-digit number and find the matching sum. (3 versions included)
- Climb The Ladder: Students will play a board game while solving addition problems (adding multiples of ten).
- Adding on a Number Line: In this center, students will solve addition problems on the number line by making jumps of ten.
FYI: These centers are very similar to the 2nd grade adding within 100 centers - the activities are the same but follow 1st grade standards!

Understand that in adding two-digit numbers, one adds tens and tens, ones and ones; and sometimes it is necessary to compose a ten.
