I created this series of worksheets for my second-graders as a review of telling time to the nearest hour, half hour, and quarter hour before we began telling time to the nearest five minutes. However, the worksheets could also be used as a challenge for advanced first-graders.
There is a week's worth of worksheets (front and back), one for each day. They could be used as a pre or post-assessment, morning work, classwork, or in a homework packet. They're also great for an end of the year or beginning of the year review!
The front of each page asks students to look at an analog clock and write the time on the line below. Children are also given a time and asked to draw the hands on the clock.
The back of the first three pages asks students to match the time on the digital clock with the same time on the analog clock. The back of the last two worksheets (Days 4 and 5) asks students to draw the hands on the analog clock to match the corresponding time on the digital clock.
These worksheets meet the following Common Core State Standards for math:
1.MD.B.3 Tell and write time in hours and half-hours using analog and digital clocks.
2.MD.C.7 Tell and write time from analog and digital clocks to the nearest five minutes, using a.m. and p.m.
