The first two puzzles each contain 30 of the most common homophones--and they are set up in a very unique way!
The answers are pairs of cross-referenced homophones. After each clue is the clue number of that homophone’s cross-reference. For example, clue 24 Across and clue 1 Down are homophones.
Clue 24 Across reads like this:
NOT INTERESTED OR EXCITED (adj.) 1D
Clue 1 Down reads like this:
LONG, FLAT PIECE OF WOOD (n.) 24A
The answer to 24 Across is BORED; the answer to 1D is BOARD--homophones! The puzzles also contain a thorough explanation of what homophones are and very detailed directions. (See preview.)
The third puzzle is comprehensive. It contains all 60 homophones but no numbered cross-references, so students are on their own!
A fun spelling workout and a very unique approach to learning homophones!
