Minimum 2 day lesson along with some extra PowerPoints that were given to me about the Mongols.
Day 1 students partake in a Gallery Walk (Slides are in powerpoint form should you want more direct instruction) examining weapons of the Mongols as they hang on the walls in different stations, museum style.
Students draw the weapon and describe it, giving it a grade after discussing each weapon's strengths and weaknesses within their groups or whatever you would prefer.
Day 2 students are given some info through powerpoint, but are then split into groups and given 5 cards (SLIDES 9-13) about different aspects of Khan. Students then must grade him within their groups on such things as leadership skill, ethical conduct, bravery, organization etc.
