Description

This bundle includes two games: Winter Sports and another for Winter Holidays (Christmas, Chanukah, Kwanza, and Nativity). One for before winter break, and one for after!! These are like Bump games only kids won't become upset when they are "bumped," which will help students with autism, other special needs or young kids who need help learning games and social skills related to them (sportsmanship, sharing, winning/losing. etc.)

Directions for either game: Roll or spin. Cover the space with number chosen. If another marker is already on that number, stack your marker on top. Keep playing or stacking until a player has used all his/her markers. Whoever has the most markers on top wins. Contents: directions, 2-page game board, optional spinner, optional markers.

This game helps kids practice identifying numbers 1-20 in a fun way. The numbers are in the corner of the boxes so they can probably still be seen with the marker in the box. Additional items needed: Markers are provided that can be cut out, but I prefer to use connecting cubes. Each player gets a set of 10 in the same color. If you use the spinner, then you will need a pencil and paper clip. Instead of using the spinner, you could use a 1-20 number die.

This game is aligned with Common Core Standards and is appropriate for Pre-K, Kinder, and First.Common Core Math Standard: K.CC.A1.

It could be used at a math center. My K-3 Special Day Class (SDC) students with special needs love playing it in a small group with an adult. It would also be great for RTI intervention groups.
