A new spin on the book review. Students independently read a book of their choice and orally report back to the class on the book. Includes summary, character analysis, theme discussion and recommendations. Multiple extra credit suggestions listed as well. The requirements are broken down by points so the form acts like a rubric as well. Students can receive their score immediatly after delivering their review. Breathes new life in to book reports. My favorite extra credit was when a student brought in red velvet cupcakes with white icing and a black licorice "dot" when they reviewed "Dracula".
