This activity can be used to reinforce speech/language in a variety of ways including:
•to produce consecutive articulation responses/trials/drill-type activities
•to provide/generate answers to vocabulary / word retrieval/answering questions and other language activities requiring multiple responses
•to practice voice and fluency strategies and techniques
You will need:
•one 20 Chip Challenge game mat per player (color and b/w versions included)
•playing dice (one 6 sided die with 1-6 dots is best)-not included
•20 bingo-type game chips per player-not included
Goal: Be the first player to cover and then remove all 20 chips from all of the game circles.
Once all 20 circles have been covered with chips, the game is only half way over!
•The game continues as the players try to be the first to remove all the chips, depending on the number rolled on the dice. (Roll a 5 and remove 5 chips from your playing mat.)
•As you near the end of the game, be sure the players roll an exact number to remove the final chips. If they roll too high a number, they lose a turn and must continue until they roll an exact number.
