In this game students work with math materials to support their knowledge and understanding of numbers within 20. Students will be able to manipulate, structure, decompose and subitize numbers using dice, 20-frames, bead racks, etc. Students will be able to represent their thinking using number sentences, number lines, and more.
The game is designed to be played in partners and can be played in almost any grade-level, given a student's need.
1. Player One rolls the dice to determine the amount to be subtracted from 20. Record the total rolled.
2. Player One says the 20- number sentence and Player Two checks with a bead rack or 20-frame.
3. Player One records the number sentence. Place a chip on the total difference, if that number is available.
4. Players take turns until one player has 3 counters in a row!
The game comes with a directions page, 5 different games boards, recording sheets, and 20-frame support cards.
