I love these cards because once you print and cut these out– you’re done! All students need is some recording paper or – like we use – a student journal.
In my 2nd grade classroom, we use these awesome cards in a couple ways. First, I choose to laminate the cards after printing. My cards have lasted for a couple years and are still going strong! Next, after cutting them out I put each set on a split ring and hang on my centers board.
During centers, those working on Word Work can pull a ring and work on the tasks. All the cards are numbered so students can find their spot easily. I also use these those those little ones who need some extra support – we work on these together during one on one or small group time. And, since there are 20 cards you can give each student in your class one to work on during whole group time – print 2 copies if you have more than 20 students – which, come on , is like all of us, right!?
I LOVE THESE!
