Uses-
Synonym Search is designed to improved students’ writing vocabulary. Instead of using sad, mad, and happy, this activity exposes them to more complex and nuanced synonyms of those words.

These puzzles are also great for independent practice and early finishers!

Standards-
Fifth Grade:
L.5.5.C -Use the relationship between particular words (e.g., synonyms, antonyms, homographs) to better understand each of the words.

Sixth Grade –
W.6.3.D - Use precise words and phrases, relevant descriptive details, and sensory language to convey experiences and events.
