Product Description
Bring current events into your classroom with this candidate research project! Students will develop their research skills while learning about the our presidential candidates. The project includes a research chart where students will record information about each candidate. They will have to find out basic information as well as write interesting facts about each candidate. This is a great way to reinforce fact and opinion skills as well!

I've included a grading rubric for the project. It requires them to:
- include accurate information for each element on the chart (each element is broken down on the rubric)
- use correct capitalization, spelling, and punctuation
- complete the project neatly
- turn the project in on time

This project could be done at school using the computer lab or media center or it could be sent home as a homework project. It would be great to get parents involved in researching our candidates, too! It's definitely a way to integrate research skills and fact and opinion skills in a very real-life, authentic way! Hope your kids enjoy it!
