*Note: Depending on which version of Word you open this in, you may need to do some spacing/adjusting. Page 1 should just say "2018 NFL Superbowl Bracket Challenge," Page 2 should be the Rules page (you can modify the words in red so it's suitable for your class), Page 3 is some Trivia (again with words in red to modify as you please), Pages 4 and 5 should have the team logos for your bulletin board*
Now that the Wildcard Round is over, get students excited about the NFL Superbowl with a bracket challenge! All of the pages/logos can be printed and posted on a bulletin board. You can find a blank bracket by simply googling "2018 Superbowl Printable Bracket."
My students will have the chance to fill in a bracket and submit it to me before the end of day on Fri, Jan 12. I put my initials on all brackets so none can get "magically added" after the Divisional round. Our student-designed bulletin board currently has all of the pages contained in this document, plus a blank bracket (they made the football and chose the red/white/blue as those are the NFL colours). As teams lose, they go to an "out" section of the bulletin board, with "busted" brackets being stapled under the logo of the team that caused their elimination. Brackets that are still alive remain in my classroom, and I get students to check them on Mondays. I will buy breakfast for any student who has a perfect bracket, pending parental approval.
