Help your students avoid the summer slide WITHOUT using reams of paper to copy large activity packets! This resource is a 10 page comprehensive summer activity packet that is aligned to Kindergarten Common Core Standards. This packet is appropriate for students who are currently finishing Kindergarten regardless of whether they will be retained in Kindergarten next year or promoted to 1st grade. The packet allows students to practice a wide variety of standards using nothing but the contents of the packet, a pack of index cards, and a composition notebook. A few of the activities reference websites, but most activities don't require internet access to complete.
Each activity packet contains the following:
~ Parent Letter - all you have to do is sign it!
~ Summer Reading Log
~ "Helpful Hints" page that includes suggestions for websites, comprehension questions (roughly aligned to reading levels A-F), and examples for how to make daily entries into their journals
~ Capital & Lowercase letter cards
~ Number cards 1-20
~ Activity calendars for the end of May and all of June, July, and August (custom date ranges are listed below)

The calendars have one activity each day, and all activities are directly aligned to CCSS standards. If today's activity addresses an ELA standard(s), then tomorrow's activity will be a math activity; the activities alternate each day between ELA and Math. Be sure to click on "Preview" to access full-page views of the June calendar, the parent letter & all the supporting pages, and the CCSS alignment guides.

Both. The activities in this product are aligned to Kindergarten CCSS standards, so students who use the calendars will be practicing Kindergarten level skills. For children who will repeat Kindergarten next year, this will give them a chance to work on some of the skills they didn't master this past school year. For children who will go on to the 1st grade, this will allow them to maintain their academic skills so they will be ready for 1st grade curriculum content when school starts.
Kids who are functioning one grade level below or above their current grade will probably be fine with this calendar set. Children who are functioning more than 2 grade levels above or below their current grade may need calendars for a different grade level. You can use the link at the very bottom of this page to explore other grade levels - the preview downloads for each grade level include the full calendar for June, so you'll be able to get a good idea of what types of activities are included for that grade level.
I totally get that! I have been updating these calendars each year at no additional charge, so buyers only have to purchase them once. (The price also reflects the fact that this resource includes 65 rigorous activities that are crammed into four pages to reduce the amount of copies you'd have to make for each student). To access the updated calendars each year, all you have to do next year is wait for the e-mail indicating they've been updated then go to your "My Purchases" page and download the updated file. I intend to continue to update this resource (free of charge) each and every year for as long as I am a seller on TpT.
Certainly! All you have to do is purchase an extra license for each additional classroom or homeroom teacher you want to share the calendars with (i.e. 1 licence for each classroom). Extra licenses are tpically 10% off the regular product price, but I understand that school budgets get REALLY tight at the end of the school year. To make sure you and your school can afford to use this resource, Each extra license for this bundle covers 6 teachers. Use the links below to access information about TpT for Schools:
This resource is availble for all grade levels from Kindergarten to 5th grade. A K-5 BUNDLE is also available! To access these resources, click the link below:
