This lesson includes the slides I use with my non-honors and honors students. There are two warm-ups included that you may choose from. The races warm-up is a great way for students to discuss what they notice about the situations and how they are different from previous systems solved. The second warm-up is more abstract. Additionally, a number of examples are included where some require students to graph the problems so students visually solve the systems and others where students must solve the systems using a more abstract method.
Please check out the Preview ppt to see topics included and the animations used throughout.
I do not require my non-honors students to memorize the vocabulary (consistent, independent, dependent, inconsistent). My honors students are required to know the vocabulary so these slides are included after the other slides so you can choose the ones you want to use.
