This is a selection of 25 Spanish pop songs, with the lyrical excerpts set-up as a CLOZE notes listening activity.
This is one of my most popular activities and many songs included here aren't found in any other similar collection!
All songs and their accompanying videos can be found on YouTube. All songs have answers keys.

Instructions for use:
These listening activities can take anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour each, depending on whether you supplement them with your own extension activities.
Here are my steps, in their simplest form:
1. Pass out the song handout. Instruct students that they will write their answers directly on the handout or on a piece of binder paper. You will have the answers on a clipboard, away from student view.
2. Each handout has a word bank of the answers at the bottom of the page. Ahead of time, copy and paste this into a PowerPoint slide so the class can see it, along with the song title. I then call on students to give me the definition of the words and song title until everything is defined. This is a good time to reinforce grammar or hit other instructional goals.
3. Instruct students that you will play the song 3 times in total. Play the song until the excerpted portion is complete (usually about a minute). Students should be following along with their finger on the lyrics, listening and writing in answers. After each round of listening, stop and call on students for answers (I then write these answers on a side board).
Note: No extension activities included in this collection.
