Research shows that students work best when given quick breaks for their brains to recharge. It is suggested that for students at the elementary level, breaks be given every 25-30 minutes and for upper grades, every 40-45 minutes….YES! These ideas can be adapted for upper grades, too!
This PDF file includes 28 Brain Break activity ideas with colorful labels that can be printed and glued, decoupaged onto large popsicle sticks or printed onto cardstock, cut and laminated for random selection of classroom brain breaks. All activities are intended to be 1-3 minutes long and are appropriate for all elementary grade levels and adaptable to middle and upper grade levels, too.
Also includes detailed instructions for each activity and suggestions for implementation and teacher directions. I hope you'll love it and as always, I'm happy to make adjustments and updates based on your feedback!
