I created these posters to give my students a visual representation along with descriptive language to assist them in identifying attributes, and comparing and contrasting 2D and 3D shapes. After attending a Common Core Math Conference, I began using more accurate labels and language. For example, “ellipse” (instead of oval) and “A square is a special kind of rectangle.” This selection includes:
• 17 posters
• 2D Shapes: Hexagon, Square, Triangle, Ellipse, Trapezoid, Rhombus, Rectangle, Pentagon, Octagon, Circle
• 3D Shapes: Square Pyramid, Triangular Prism, Cylinder, Cube, Sphere, Cone, Rectangular Prism
Please be sure the description of each shape is suitable for your students before purchasing. Check out the preview to view!
After printing, there is a small edge of white on both sides and on the bottom. If you want it entirely black, simply trim off the white edges. The bright colors with the black background will look great in your classroom!
Please leave feedback-I truly appreciate it!
