Product Description
Are you in need of additional resources for teaching 2D shapes? My "2D Shapes Kindergarten Common Core Geometry" packet contains posters, printables, mini books and more! Minimal prep work is required. Take a look at the preview to get an idea of what's included.

This packet includes practice for the following shapes...circle, triangle, rectangle, square, and hexagon.

2D Shapes Vocabulary Cards/Pictures- included is a set of color and black and white vocab and picture cards for a circle, square, triangle, rectangle, and hexagon.

2D Shapes Posters- included is a set of color and black and white posters for a circle, square, rectangle, triangle, and hexagon. Each poster gives the name of the shape, a picture, and lists the number of sides and vertices. Also included are posters explaining sides and vertices of shapes.

Foldable Shape Books- included is a foldable book for each shape. Students can count the sides and vertices, trace, color, and draw the shapes.

Color the Shapes- included is one practice page for each shape. Students will follow directions to color a given shape among mixed shapes, color the shape by size, and trace and color the shape.

I Can Make Shapes- students will cut, rearrange, and paste shapes to make new or larger shapes.

Sort the Shapes- students will sort pictures of real life objects according to shape.

Color By Shape- Given a picture composed of shapes, students will color the picture using a key.

"Where Can I Find a..." mini books- Using simple sight words and pictures, students will read a book about where to find shapes in everyday life. On the last page, they can draw and label an example of where they see each shape. Each book focuses on one shape. ***Yes bookmaking can be a pain, but I made them so minimal prep is required. Make single sided copies of the book you would like to use. Keeping one of each page for the book in a stack, cut down the middle and staple. This makes two books at a time.
