Most of my Y5s don’t have any problem learning to identify the 2D shapes
, however, when I ask them to find an example of that shape in the “real world”
many of them have difficulty.
They seem to think that if a triangle is shaped a bit differently, or is "upside down" or "sideways" that those aren't triangles.
With that in mind, I designed these quick, easy and fun
“I Spy A Triangle!” 2D Shape
Use the full color patterns as an independent center
I’ve included 3, OUTSIDE pattern options
, as well as 3 INSIDE
wheel options, featuring 18, different images
of triangular things children will easily recognize.
I’ve also included black & white templates
, so that students can make their own “turn & learn”
wheel to take home, further practicing this standard
This is part of a series
, 2D-shape wheels.
Each 2D shape “wheel packet” is sold separately for just $1.95.
Shapes include: circle, oval, triangle, square, rectangle, hexagon, pentagon & octagon.
