These are task cards that allow students to practice matching the names of 2D and 3D figures to their images. Vocabulary is listed in the preview.
There are many ways to use task cards. Students can work independently, with adult assistance, or with a partner. Students indicate their answer by pointing, circling, or placing a paperclip or clothespin on their choice.
Sometimes I use task cards as bell work by choosing sets for specific students and placing on their desks before they come in. Other times I use them with Teacch style task boxes for independent work. I also put them in a center for partner work. Each partner completes half of the cards and then they look at them together to see if they agree. It starts some great math discussions among my higher functioning students.
