Your pre-k and kindergarten students will learn about 2 and 3 dimensional shapes, their similarities, differences, parts (e.g., number of sides and vertices/“corners”) and other attributes (e.g., having sides of equal length). Identify shapes as two-dimensional (lying in a plane, “flat”) or three-dimensional (“solid”).
Use these activities during whole group or small group to name and describe the shapes They can also be used at math centers, and as independent practice.
