Description

Graphs Galore Common Core Activity Pack is a fun way to teach your students about surveys, picture graphs, and bar graphs. This pack comes with 10 different graphing activities that you can use in your guided math groups, math stations, or independent assignments. Four of the activities are leveled (remediation, on-level, and advanced) so you can choose the appropriate activity for each student.

Game Pack Description:
Ice Cream Pictograph, Favorite Food Pictograph, and Favorite Sport Pictograph: These 3 activities are each leveled (remediation, on-level, and advanced) so you can choose the appropriate activity for each student. The first activity is a little less challenging since each picture stands for 1 vote. The second activity is a little more challenging since each picture stands for 2 votes. The third activity is the most challenging since students will need to understand that half of one picture is equal to one vote.

M&M Math and Skittles Math: Students will need 1 small snack sized bag of M&Ms or Skittles to complete the activities. Students will create a bar graph using their M&Ms or Skittles and answer the questions using data from the graph.

Sea Animals Graph: Students roll the dice and record the number of each sea animal. They will then use the data to create a bar graph and answer questions from the graph.

Rainforest Animal Graph: Students roll the dice and record the number of each animal. They will then use the data to create a bar graph and answer questions from the graph. Since question # 6 requires students to multiply, you may choose to teach them how to solve this using repeated addition in a guided math group or let your more advanced math group complete it independently.

Dino-mite! Dinosaur Graph: Students spin the spinner 12 times and draw a tally next to the dinosaur it lands on. Students will then use the data to create a bar graph and answer questions from the graph.

Sweet Treats Gumdrop Graph: Students count the number of gumdrops in the candy jar. Students will then use the data to create a bar graph and answer questions from the graph.

Sweet Treats Gumball Graph: Students count the number of gumballs in the gumball machine. Students will then use the data to create a pictograph and a bar graph. The first activity is a little less challenging and the second activity is more challenging for your more advanced learners.
