Here is a great way to get kids to practice finding the value of a collection of coins. The students will be challenged with comparing values in a low prep, fun game. Students draw cards with coin images on them, put the coin cards in order from least to greatest, and then spin a spinner to determine the winner of the round.
This is great for helping second, third or fourth grade students count coins in cents. There are also directions for using the cards in two other ways, making this a great value for you.
Money is a universal real-world application for math. I hope your kids have lots of fun.
Happy math, Megan
PS. For a tougher version, print the cards in black and white.
