This file can be used to assess CCSS.Math.Content.2.MD.C.8
There are 4 different assessments included.
*There are two assessments consisting of 20 questions each on counting coin amounts.
-The first page of both of these assessments include 10 questions which show various images of coins (front/back). Students must count the coin amounts. There are also 4 multiple choice questions on both of these assessments where students must determine the correct way to write the value of a specific amount using either the cent sign or dollar sign. For example: What is a way to write the value of five pennies? $0.50 $0.005 $.05
-The back page of both of these assessments have 3 problems where students must draw coin amounts in two ways.
There is a multi select question, a multiple choice and an open response question.
*There is an assessment consisting of 20 questions on counting dollars and coin amounts and comparing amounts of coins using

-The first page includes 10 questions showing various dollars (one, five, ten) and coins (front/back). Students must count the amount shown.
-The back page has 7 questions with various coin sets for students to compare using > < = and 3 multiple choice questions including a NOT question for students to count the total value shown. For example:Which choice would equal 73 cents? a. two quarters, two dimes, three pennies b. two quarters, four nickels etc...
*There is a word problem assessment consisting of 25 questions
-The front page has 14 word problems questions such as how much is left, how much more do they need, do they have enough, how much do they have now, etc.
There is also a multi select problem for students to select all the choices that equal a certain amount.
-The back page includes 2 questions showing coin amounts for students to compare using > < = and 3 questions using words (two quarters, one nickel) for students to compare using > < =
There is also 4 pictures of toys with amounts to buy the toys. There are 6 questions related to the price of the toys.
