These sixteen puzzles (of ice cream and dinosaurs) all align with standard 2.NBT.2 from the Common Core State Standards, listed below:
Count within 1000; skip count by 5s, 10s, and 100.
The puzzles come in both portrait and landscape mode (make sure you download both files). Simply cut them apart, and students will piece them together.
One puzzle template allows students to create their own skip counting puzzle.
***Note: The numbers used are not primarily "round" numbers, as in they do not all end in 5 or 0. Students are expected to complete skip counting puzzles starting from a number with any other even or odd digit in the ones places. (e.g., 43, 48, 53, 58, etc.)
I hope your kiddos enjoy building these within the classroom.
