This straightforward recording sheet supports students learning common core standard 2.NBT.3:
Read and Write Numbers to 1000: Read and write numbers to 1000 using base-ten numerals, number names, and expanded form.
This file is a combination of two of my other products in PDF format for easy use.
There are two versions so you may differentiate easily. Level 1 allows students to record the number in standard form, as a drawing, in word form, expanded form, and compared to 250. Level 2 allows for standard form, expanded form, compared to 250, with an equal equation and using a real world connection.
We use this form frequently in my second grade classroom, for everything from warm up to assessment. The Frayer Model promotes critical thinking and helps students to identify and understand new vocabulary. Simply print and use with the entire class, small groups, or for individual work. Building on prior knowledge and building connection to new concepts the Frayer model creates a visual reference by which students learn to compare attributes and examples. This worksheet will also provide an effective assessment, either formative or summative, demonstrating student's representation of number.
