* I use this as a supplement lesson for Math in Focus. MIF does not address the common core standard 2G.1 to fidelity, so I use supplement lessons to teach it.
This Powerpoint lesson is used to teach plane shapes (triangle, rectangle, square, oval, circle, pentagon, hexagon, octagon, and quadrilateral).
Lesson vocabulary: Side and Vertex/Vertices
Practice Activity included where students must name the shape and identify the number of sides and vertices.
Exit Slip included that requires students to compare and contrast 2 plane shapes using the vocabulary learned in the lesson.
