CKLA's Assessments do not have the questions on the test. As a teacher and from parent feedback, I have found that the tests are more valuable with the questions on the test. This format makes it easier for students to follow along, and review their answers before turning them in.
The first part of the PDF is the T/F with answer key.
The constructed responses or written responses are also attached.
We call them "Quanswers" Each one is 5 points. (Unless they are multiple sentences)
1 pt - Part of the Question in the Answer
1 pt - Usage (has to make sense)
1 pt - Spelling (anything in the question cannot be spelled wrong) and punctuation
2 pt - Answer
If you have any questions or have any issues please let me know.
This is an alternative assessment to the one provided by CKLA. It is the same assessment but typed in Socrative.
The reason I like using socrative is that it grades the test for you! WAHOO - TIME SAVER!
What you need:
1. A teacher computer
2. Student devices: anything that will run a webpage or the socrative app
This will provide you with the import code for the assessment as well as detailed instructions on how to import it into socrative.
I have also included a paper version so that when you have students absent you can give them the same assessment the rest of the students took.
