2nd Grade Consonant Blends, Vowel Pairs, R-Control Vowels Phonics BUNDLE

This phonics bundle contains four different units: Initial consonant blends, final consonant blends, vowel pairs, and r-controlled vowels. Each of the four units includes an instructional PowerPoint with daily lesson activities, daily minilesson plans, phonics centers, phonics games, phonics worksheets and phonics-based reading passages with comprehension questions.

These units are ideal for teaching whole group minilessons, small group instruction, literacy centers, intervention groups, and English language learners. Use them as stand-alone phonics resources or to supplement the curriculum you currently use.

These engaging units are designed to give you consistent daily and weekly routines that you can use as stand-alone lessons or to supplement materials you currently use. The consistent center activities and direction cards enable students to work independently without you having to explain directions each week.

These units were designed for second grade and may also be helpful for 3rd grade review.

PowerPoints

The teaching PowerPoints are designed to introduce the phonics rules with daily mini-lessons and interactive whole group practice activities. The activities can also be used by students as a digital option for independent learning in centers.

Lesson Plans/Daily Routine

A daily lesson plan and weekly routine are included in each unit with related centers to use for each day.

Centers

Each of the four units includes 10 sets of printable activities that can be used with small groups of students and in literacy centers.

Phonics Passages

There are 24 passages in all. Each skill has a passage devoted to it as well as mixed practice passages. Each passage includes 3 comprehension questions

Activity booklets

The activity booklets can be used in a variety of ways. They include the phonics passages, comprehension questions, spelling activity, and alphabetical order. Use them as an option for homework, centers, and intervention RTI groups.

Posters

Full page display posters for each phonics pattern are included in each unit. Each poster includes a word list are intended to be displayed in the classroom. I also print mine two per page and use them in small groups and RTI.

The smaller versions can be placed on rings.

Phonics Practice Worksheets

Each unit includes 8-10 practice worksheets ideal for review, morning work, homework, assessments, send-home summer review packets, or additional practice in the classroom.
