Looking to EXTEND your thinkers? Does your data shows your students met the target and are ready for more? This packet is filled with activities that not only challenge, but bring the fun back into math. Using this format requires students to start with a required activity that mirrors a typical target-based extends problem. Next students have options to choose to do 3 more activities that challenge students thinking in a truly engaging way. The main page contains the overview for the packet.
In this packet, students will measure classroom windows and doors to compute fabric needed for curtains, create a cootie catcher with prompts that will create new story problem options, solve story problems using the answer and working backwards and use QR codes to play double-digit addition and subtraction games.
DIFFERENTIATION BONUS: Included in the packet is the fortune teller activity for those students who have not met the target and are not ready for a two-step problem. It will give them the opportunity to play the fortune teller game at a different level.
