This End of the Year Focus Test was designed to help teachers see the progress of their students at the end of 2nd grade. It could also be given at the beginning of 3rd grade to help teachers know what skills their students are struggling from the year before.
This assessment has 72 questions, and should NOT be given in one day. In fact, my suggestion would be that it be given over the course of 4 days—giving 18 questions each day. The test is long, so all the TEKS are covered in different ways. I like to test a standard on more than one question if possible, so I can make sure the student has truly mastered it or not.
However, a teacher could shorten the test if desired.
There is a TEKS Breakdown, so a teacher can put the assessment into DMAC or some other data program to disaggregate the results.
There is also an individual student TEKS Analysis form to use to track individual student data.
