Created for the 1st Semester
- contains 1-step word problems
-contains 2-digit and 3-digit addition and subtraction problems without trading
I have also moved the box where the students write their equation for the word problem.
I created these sheets for homework practice. I give one sheet for homework Monday - Thursday. The next day, I make it a priority to go over it as a class and discuss possible answers. That way, the students will use strategies discussed on the next nightly sheet.
You could also use this as an assessment. However, that is not what I created them for. They were meant for students to practice the standards the way they will see them on their mid-year and end-of year assessments.
This attachment is for 16 pages of common core math assessment practice sheets.
The sheets are stand alone sheets and are not meant to be used all at once. You can tell from the thumbnails that each sheet contains 1 word problem practice question. At this time of the year, the word problems are all one-step word problems.
The common core math standards are:
2.OA.1 One-step word problems
2.NBT.1 Place Value of 3 digit numbers
2.NBT.2 Count within 1000
