2nd Grade Math Unit 12: Multiplication Concept is the final unit of my twelve Second Grade Math Boom Card series. This unit is packed with nine games that were made to engage young learners. This unit was designed for second grade, but you can easily adapt it to your lessons to review the skills with third graders and to challenge high level first graders.

Boom cards are fun, self-checking, and easy to implement. Assessment is a breeze because you can get full reports on all of your students with a click of a button (*FREE to play, but a membership is required to get reports.)

What's included in Unit 12: Multiplication?

  1. Students will create repeated addition equations that match the given models. (Common Core Standard 2.OA.C.4)
  2. Students will look at a picture model to complete a matching repeated addition. (Common Core Standard 2.OA.C.4)
  3. Students will use the block tower models to create multiplication equations. (Common Core Standard 2.OA.C.4)
  4. Students will identify the multiplication equation that matches the given array. (Common Core Standard 2.OA.C.4)
  5. Students will identify the correctly colored-in array for the given multiplication equation. (Common Core Standard 2.OA.C.4)
  6. Students will look at a picture model to complete a matching repeated addition and a multiplication equation. (Common Core Standard 2.OA.C.4)
  7. Students will use the number line model to determine the multiplication equation. (Common Core Standard 2.OA.C.4)
  8. Students will complete equations to solve multiplication word problems. (Common Core Standard 2.OA.C.4)
  9. Students will use the commutative property to make related multiplication equations.
