This resource is designed for the standard 2-PS1-2. Analyze data obtained from testing different materials to determine which materials have the properties that are best suited for an intended purpose.
This lesson require only household materials such as toothpicks, a balloon, yarn, marble and a strip of fabric.
Students will test various materials during the two different tasks to determine which material is best suited for the task based on its properties.
